DANCE POEM
In this time of always becoming
I stretch across the moment.
All the nows peel away.
All is motion.
Where is the still point?
Passion meets action
breaking my mind open.
Stumbling into the packed emptiness
I hold the question:
Where is the dark?
I thought I would drown in blackness.
I could not imagine the terror of the light
with its insistent joy beating all around.
I step forward,
feeling my perfect motion
always falling into more of what I am.Griff Goehring, 1991
